Duties Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment, including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces. Handle cleaning tasks across guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and other public areas with attention to detail and efficiency. Manage the safe handling and application of chemical agents in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols. Assist with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations. Maintain cleanliness of hotel public spaces by conducting regular sanitation routines and ensuring all areas meet health standards. Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with hotel emergency procedures. Use cleaning equipment properly and safely to ensure optimal performance while adhering to safety guidelines. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience within a hospitality or hotel environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and hotel housekeeping standards. Ability to handle chemical agents safely in compliance with SDS guidelines; familiarity with chemical handling is a plus. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and bending throughout shifts. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all guests and staff. Previous hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience is advantageous for those seeking growth within the role.
