Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, bathroom sanitation, and replenishing amenities Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and recreational spaces through regular sweeping, mopping, and trash removal Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and safety protocols Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies safely and efficiently Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to ensure consistent quality standards and proper documentation of cleaning activities Respond promptly to guest requests for additional linens, towels, or cleaning services with a friendly customer service approach Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained properly and used correctly to optimize performance and safety Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience within hotel or industrial cleaning environments Knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning, chemical handling, and sanitation practices Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while understanding SDS requirements for hazardous materials Experience with vacuuming, floor cleaning machines, and other janitorial equipment essential for hotel housekeeping tasks Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture without injury Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest interactions Prior hotel experience or hospitality background is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate Embrace this opportunity to contribute to an outstanding guest experience by maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards.
