Job Description

Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. This position supports the overall guest and employee experience by ensuring assigned public areas, restrooms, offices, event spaces, and other Resort facilities are consistently maintained to established cleanliness and presentation standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and understands the importance of cleanliness and presentation in a hospitality environment. Essential Duties Clean and maintain assigned areas throughout the Resort according to established cleaning schedules and standards. Clean, sanitize, and restock public and employee restrooms. Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and clean floors and surfaces as required. Clean windows, glass doors, mirrors, counters, fixtures, furniture, and other surfaces. Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas. Maintain cleanliness of lobby areas, hallways, offices, meeting spaces, dining or event areas, and other assigned facilities. Clean and prepare event or meeting spaces before, during, and following functions as assigned. Restock paper products, soap, sanitation products, and other supplies. Monitor high-traffic areas throughout the shift and address spills, trash, or other cleanliness concerns promptly. Perform routine deep-cleaning projects as assigned. Properly use and maintain housekeeping equipment, tools, and cleaning supplies. Follow manufacturer instructions and Resort procedures when using cleaning chemicals. Maintain housekeeping closets, carts, equipment, and supply areas in a clean and organized condition. Notify the appropriate supervisor when cleaning supplies or materials need to be reordered. Immediately report maintenance concerns such as leaks, damaged fixtures, broken equipment, lighting issues, or other facility concerns. Place appropriate signage or barriers around wet floors, spills, or other temporary safety hazards. Follow all safety, sanitation, security, and workplace procedures. Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing applicable tasks. Provide courteous and professional assistance to guests, employees, vendors, and visitors. Respect guest and employee privacy and maintain confidentiality when working in offices or restricted areas. Assist other Resort departments with cleaning and facility needs when requested. Perform other related duties as assigned.
GUEST SERVICE EXPECTATIONS
As a member of the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort team, the Housekeeper contributes directly to the guest experience. Employees in this position are expected to: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor. Acknowledge guests and provide assistance when appropriate. Keep guest-facing areas clean, organized, and presentable. Respond promptly to reported spills or cleanliness concerns. Avoid disrupting guests whenever possible while completing cleaning duties. Direct guest questions to the appropriate Resort team member when necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or facilities experience preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties within established timeframes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, supervisors, and management. Ability to safely operate basic housekeeping and cleaning equipment. Ability to understand and follow safety instructions regarding cleaning chemicals and equipment. Must be able to successfully complete all pre-employment requirements established by the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe and/or Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, push, and pull. Safely climb and work from ladders. Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Lift and move up to 50 pounds independently, with assistance or equipment used for heavier items. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work in mechanical rooms, storage areas, maintenance spaces, and other facility locations. Work around noise, dust, chemicals, mechanical equipment, and other conditions normally associated with facility maintenance. The Housekeeper works in an active golf resort and hospitality environment. Work may take place in public spaces, offices, restrooms, event areas, food and beverage areas, and other Resort facilities. Scheduling may vary based on business and operational needs. Employees may be required to work: Early mornings Days or evenings Weekends Holidays Special events Additional or adjusted hours based on Resort operations Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
