As a Room Attendant, you'll have a direct impact on the guest experience by making sure rooms and hotel spaces are clean, sanitary, properly stocked, and ready for our guests. Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation Pays close attention to detail, including small debris, dirt, and areas that may be difficult to see Has basic knowledge of general cleaning principles and cleaning products Can safely operate standard housekeeping and cleaning equipment Is dependable and able to maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor Can understand and follow verbal and written instructions Is comfortable performing prolonged, strenuous physical activity throughout an eight-hour shift Can work independently while also supporting the Housekeeping Team and other hotel departments Takes responsibility for hotel equipment, keys, supplies, and property Understands the importance of immediately reporting unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns What You'll Do As a Room Attendant, you'll clean and prepare guest rooms, public areas, and other assigned hotel spaces while meeting established standards of cleanliness and presentation.Responsibilities include:
Retrieve supplies from shelves and storerooms and set up your cleaning cart for the shift Keep cleaning carts and storerooms clean, organized, and properly stocked Clean windows, doors, walls, closets, fixtures, public areas, and hallways Clean and sanitize showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, exposed pipes, walls, and other restroom surfaces Replace towels, soaps, room amenities, literature, hangers, extra blankets, pillows, and other guest supplies as needed Wash hard-floor surfaces to remove dirt and soiled areas Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, wall hangings, vents, ceiling corners, and other surfaces Strip beds and remake them with fresh linens, checking bedspreads, blankets, bed pads, mattresses, and areas under beds for cleanliness Vacuum guest rooms, public areas, and hallways, including underneath furniture and other hard-to-reach areas Inspect door and window locks and immediately report unsecured or unsafe conditions Check room equipment, including televisions, lights, lamps, faucets, and radios, and report maintenance deficiencies for prompt repair Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times Assist the Laundry Department by retrieving and sorting soiled linen, operating commercial laundry equipment, folding clean linen, and distributing it to storage closets or carts Clean patio and balcony areas, including floors, furniture, fixtures, doors, and windows Assist other employees and departments as needed to support the overall performance of the hotel Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by managementThe Ideal Candidate Is:
Familiar with basic cleaning principles, cleaning products, and standard cleaning equipment Able to see small debris and dirt, including in poorly lit areas Able to read written instructions and computer print-outs Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate verbally and in writing Comfortable with frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and moving throughout the shift Able to safely maneuver a fully loaded housekeeping cart Comfortable working with arms raised overhead as cleaning tasks require No previous experience required Possesses at least ninth-grade reading and writing skills Schedule Eight-hour shifts Physical Requirements This position requires prolonged, strenuous physical activity and regular use of housekeeping equipment throughout an eight-hour shift.Lifting:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continually throughout an eight-hour shiftPushing/Pulling:
Ability to push, pull, and move equipment, levers, furniture, and a fully loaded housekeeping cart weighing up to 50 lbs.Reaching:
Ability to work with arms raised above the head throughout the shift as required by cleaning tasksMobility:
Ability to move throughout guest rooms, hallways, public areas, closets, and other hotel spaces for extended periodsEquipment:
Ability to operate vacuums weighing up to 25 lbs., floor buffers, carpet-cleaning equipment, ladders/stepping stools, cleaning carts, and commercial washers, dryers, and pressersWork Environment:
Indoor, climate-controlled hotel environment with exposure to excessive heat and humidity when assisting inLaundry Chemicals:
