Providing Short-term Rehabilitation and Long-term Care, our dedicated and seasoned team remains focused on the principles of safety, kindness, and compassion. It is our privilege to foster an environment where individuality and dignity are preserved, appreciated, and honored. Sunnyside Care Center is actively looking for a Housekeeper to join our environmental service team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitization of resident rooms and bathrooms as well as facility common areas. The Housekeeper will also assist in maintaining the high standards of patient safety, privacy, care, and cleanliness within the facility. Previous experience in a medical setting and/or as a Housekeeper is recommended but is not required for this position.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
(Including but not limited to) Maintain housekeeping equipment in good working order Provide general cleaning services to resident's rooms as well as facility common areas (Restrooms, Offices, Storage Areas, Hallways, Dining Rooms, Lobby, etc…) Restock paper and sanitizer products in appropriate dispensers as needed Trash and Recyclable removal Operation and maintenance of the facilities floor machine Maintain a clean workspace at all times Clean and restock housekeeping carts at the end of the shift Refill cleaning chemicals as needed Pack resident belongings and assist with room changes Any other duties assigned by the Director of Maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be available on weekends and some holidays Must have the ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time Must be able to lift or move heavy objects weighing about 50lbs
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Housekeeping experience preferred but not required Experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
