Part-Time, Non-Exempt About Us Founded in 1876, The Boys' Club of New York (BCNY) is a youth development organization with the mission to empower boys and young men, ages 7 to 21, by providing effective programs and a supportive community. BCNY provides evidence-based programs to address the evolving social, emotional, health, creative, educational, and vocational needs of our members in meaningful, lasting ways. BCNY develops programs to cultivate positive qualities in members and strives to continually deepen and broaden our impact. Job Summary The Locker Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the locker room area during program times. Responsibilities Monitor and positively interact with members at all times to ensure members are safe in the locker room area Ensure count of members in and out of area; monitor member transitions Monitor locker room and surrounding areas, including entry and exit ways and stairs Ensure proper care of all materials, organize room, and report any misused or damaged materials Use behavior management strategies to defuse inappropriate behavior Attend required department meetings and professional development trainings Other duties as assigned Qualifications Six months to one year work experience Demonstrated organizational/ leadership ability Dependable First Aid and CPR certification desirable
