Job Description

Job Type Full-Time Part-Time Per Diem Union Position This position is covered under the 1199SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement. Job Summary San Simeon by the Sound is seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our Environmental Services team. Housekeepers play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces. Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces. Empty trash and replace liners as needed. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with infection control protocols. Replenish supplies in resident rooms and common areas. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and damaged equipment to the appropriate department. Follow established cleaning schedules and assignments. Adhere to infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines. Maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy and dignity. Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned. Qualifications Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, nursing home, hotel, or similar environment preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Schedule Requirements Must be available to work assigned weekends and holidays in accordance with facility needs and union contract requirements. Overtime opportunities may be available.
