Description:

Will clean areas such as offices, departments, corridors, waiting areas, stairwells, elevators as well as patient rooms and treatment areas. Will handle and properly dispose of waste. Job Results & Essential Function Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing. Ensuring all rooms and department areas are cared for and inspected according to The Joint Commission (TJC) Standards. Protecting equipment and making sure there are no inadequacies. Notify supervisor of any damages, deficits, and disturbances. Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience. Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace them when appropriate. Adhere strictly to rules and regarding health and safety. Will handle the waste. Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance. Prioritization and time management skills. Working in a fast pace environment without compromising quality

Requirements:

Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED is preferred Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper is preferred Customer-oriented and friendly Licenses and/or Certifications Potential of needing a valid NYS Driver License- May be asked to drive to sites for business-related activity. Physical Demands The employee will be on their feet most of the day. A great deal of lifting is involved up to 50 lbs. Language Ability Knowledge of the English language Math Ability Ability to measure cleaning supplies Reasoning Ability Must be able to work in a harmonious manner with all other departments. Must be able to map out assignments and complete them in a timely manner. Working Conditions Potential exposure to chemicals and communicable diseases and related waste (including bodily fluids).
