Job Description
Best Western Plus Kingston is seeking a reliable and hardworking Houseman to support our housekeeping and guest services teams. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall guest experience throughout the hotel. Responsibilities Assist housekeeping staff by delivering linens, towels, and guest room supplies. Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including the lobby, hallways, stairwells, elevators, breakfast area, meeting spaces, and public restrooms. Remove trash and recycling throughout the property. Respond promptly to guest requests, including extra towels, linens, toiletries, and other amenities. Assist with room inspections and preparation of guest rooms as needed. Set up and break down meeting rooms and special event spaces. Report maintenance or safety concerns to management. Help with laundry operations and inventory organization when needed. Assist with seasonal property upkeep, including snow removal and exterior cleanliness. Qualifications Previous hotel, housekeeping, janitorial, or customer service experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Friendly and professional attitude when interacting with guests. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Dependable attendance and punctuality required. Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
