The Housekeeper will report to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Tuesday

• Friday 5:30pm-10:00pm Saturday 1:30pm-6:00pm

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize patient exam rooms, hallways, waiting areas, bathrooms and other areas. Maintain Center by cleaning, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing. Keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping supplies; notifies supervisor if new supplies are needed. Empty wastebaskets and transports other trash and waste to disposal area. Replenish supplies, such as bathroom items. Label and remove infectious waste bags and containers. Maintain furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture, cleaning and polishing glass surfaces. Clean stairways and elevators on a regularly scheduled basis. Follow cleaning procedures as outlined in the Housekeeping Procedures Manual. Work cooperatively with the maintenance and housekeeping staff. Appropriately discard hazardous waste from the exam rooms and replenishes sharp containers as needed. If Designated as responsible for Bio Hazardous Waste removal, complete online training and receive certificate prior to completing this task. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Able to read, write and speak English 2 Years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Familiar with cleaning products and equipment as well as cleaning techniques. Knowledge of Infection Control techniques. Patient and polite and able to interact effectively with other personnel. Capable of understanding and working within departmental operations. Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 30 pounds. Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling climbing, stretching, and possess finger/hand dexterity. Frequent lifting, pushing of supplies and equipment.
