  • Part-time Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance / Houseman, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of residential and commercial properties.
This energetic position offers the opportunity to work across diverse tasks, from mechanical repairs to electrical troubleshooting, all while providing exceptional service to residents and clients. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will contribute directly to creating safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environments. Duties Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC components. Conduct repairs using welding techniques and mechanical knowledge to address issues efficiently. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to troubleshoot equipment and systems accurately. Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and system adjustments. Maintain facilities by painting residential spaces, repairing fixtures, and ensuring overall cleanliness and safety standards are met. Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults. Manage maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and inspections. Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex repair projects, demonstrating leadership qualities. Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or client concerns promptly and professionally. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for all staff and residents. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or residential property upkeep with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems. Hands-on welding experience coupled with knowledge of schematics and technical drawings. Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters, and CMMS software. Demonstrated ability to perform residential painting and general handyman tasks efficiently. Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance teams or projects is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork. Knowledge of manufacturing or industrial maintenance practices is a plus but not required.
