In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation, floor care, and overall room presentation. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitation to uphold hygiene standards. Manage chemical handling safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and using proper protective equipment. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies with proper technique to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness of floors through specialized floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning. Restock supplies like toiletries, linens, and amenities to ensure guest rooms are fully equipped before check-in. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures including sanitation protocols and emergency procedures to ensure guest safety and satisfaction. Experience Proven custodial or janitorial experience with a focus on hotel housekeeping or similar hospitality settings. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and chemical sprayers. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations. Experience handling chemical agents safely while maintaining high standards of sanitation and hygiene. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with guests and team members. Previous hotel experience is preferred but not required; a proactive attitude toward hospitality excellence is essential.
