This position is responsible for the care and maintenance of floors throughout the hospital.

Pay Range:

SG276 $20.40

Floor Care Responsibilities:

Sweeps, mops or vacuums to prepare floors for refinishing. Performs burnishing, stripping, buffing and waxing of different floor types. Shampoos carpets. Properly and safely operates various pieces of equipment such as extractors, auto-scrubbers, burnishers, vacuums, ect. Participates in coordinating floor care duties with clinical staff to ensure the safety and health of staff and patients. Maintains equipment in good working condition and stores in designated location after each use. Inspects equipment regularly to ensure all pieces are in proper, safe working condition; notifies supervisor of any equipment malfunction(s) and/or repairs needed. Performs duties as Aide/Attendant or other work of the department as required and directed, including but not limited to bed turnover and generalized cleaning. Aide/Attendant•

Floor Care Requirements :

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required. Two (2) years' experience in professional floor care. Previous experience waxing and applying topcoat to a variety of floor surfaces preferred. Two (2) years' experience in health care setting preferred. Must have basic computer skills.
