Residence Hall Housekeeper•
College:
DAYTIME HOURS
- WEEKDAYS ONLY.
Hours:
Monday- Friday 6:00 a.m.
- 2:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Residence Hall Housekeeper is a member of the Residence Hall Facilities and Operations team responsible for performing assigned cleaning tasks that create a clean, healthy, safe, and welcoming environment for residence hall students, guests, and staff. Clean and sanitize residence hall common areas, including floors, walls, doors, windows, furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Clean and disinfect bathrooms, showers, sinks, toilets, urinals, fixtures, partitions, mirrors, and related surfaces. Clean stairwells, including mopping, sweeping, walls, doors, and other surfaces. Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies, including mops, brooms, vacuums, floor wax, brushes, detergents, disinfectants, and other cleaning products. Collect trash and recyclables from assigned areas and transport them to designated interior or exterior receptacles. Perform deep cleaning of residence halls, including student rooms, during summer, between semesters, and as occupancy changes. Move furniture and equipment as necessary in connection with cleaning, room turnover, residence hall operations, and assigned setup needs. Perform other related cleaning, custodial, and support duties, as assigned. The position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, climb stairs, transport equipment and supplies, and safely use approved cleaning equipment for extended periods of time. Must be able to perform duties in a residence hall environment that may include exposure to cleaning chemicals, wet surfaces, trash, dust, and other routine custodial conditions.Job Type:
