Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation of all areas. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures following health and safety standards to ensure a hygienic environment. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet extractors efficiently and safely. Manage laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as required. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies with proper technique to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness of outdoor spaces when applicable, including patios or entryways. Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service. Manage time efficiently to complete daily cleaning schedules while maintaining high-quality standards. Use cleaning detergents responsibly, ensuring proper storage and disposal in accordance with safety guidelines. Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as inventory control of supplies and equipment maintenance. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in residential or commercial settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation procedures is highly desirable. Experience with cleaning equipment including vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and laundry machines is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under time constraints. Outdoor work experience is a plus for roles involving exterior spaces or garden areas. Excellent client communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
