Housekeeping Supervisor / General Manager Position Summary The Best Western Plus North Canton is seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Housekeepers to join our hospitality team. Our housekeeping staff plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring every guest room and public area meets the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and sanitation. We are looking for team members who take pride in their work, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and understand that cleanliness directly impacts guest satisfaction and hotel success.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Room Cleaning Thoroughly clean and sanitize assigned guest rooms according to Best Western brand standards. Make beds with fresh linens and replace towels and bathroom amenities. Vacuum carpets, mop floors, and dust all furniture and surfaces. Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, showers, tubs, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures. Remove trash and replenish guest supplies. Inspect rooms to ensure they are guest-ready before reporting completion. Public Area Maintenance Clean hotel hallways, stairwells, elevators, lobby, breakfast area, fitness center, public restrooms, and other common areas. Maintain cleanliness throughout the property during the shift. Report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards immediately. Room Inspections Ensure each room meets hotel quality standards before releasing it for occupancy. Identify damaged or missing items and report them promptly. Verify all room amenities are stocked and functioning properly. Laundry Support (as needed) Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room. Properly handle cleaning chemicals and laundry equipment. Safety & Security Follow OSHA safety guidelines and hotel cleaning procedures. Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment. Secure guest belongings and immediately report lost and found items. Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times. Daily Expectations Housekeepers are expected to: Clean approximately 14-18 checkout rooms per shift depending on occupancy and staffing. Complete stayover service according to hotel standards. Maintain consistent quality while working efficiently. Arrive on time and prepared for each scheduled shift. Work collaboratively with front desk, maintenance, and management.
Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:
Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred but not required . Experience cleaning hotels, apartments, nursing homes, or commercial buildings is a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail. Reliable transportation. Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent physical activity, including: Standing and walking for 8-hour shifts. Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting. Lifting up to 35 pounds regularly. Pushing housekeeping carts throughout the property. Working efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
