Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment. Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, and industrial cleaning tools. Safely manage chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, linens, and cleaning materials to maintain efficiency and safety standards. Maintain high standards of sanitation by adhering to hotel housekeeping management procedures and industry best practices. Respond promptly to guest requests for additional cleaning or amenities, providing excellent customer service with a friendly attitude. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and sanitation standards. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Excellent customer service skills with a positive, energetic approach. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Commitment to maintaining safety protocols, including understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel emergency procedures.
