Job Description
Housekeeping & Laundry Attendant Position Summary We are seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeping & Laundry Attendants to join our hospitality team. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall guest readiness of hotels, vacation rentals, and Airbnb properties throughout Ohio, including Sandusky, Huron, Vermilion, Put-in-Bay, Kelleys Island, Columbus, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces for guests and is comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. J-1 International Students are encouraged to apply. Schedule Requirements Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Flexible scheduling available. Ability to work varying shifts based on occupancy and business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Housekeeping Clean guest rooms, suites, vacation rentals, and common areas according to company standards. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and guest amenities. Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas. Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces. Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to management. Inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness and guest readiness. Restock housekeeping carts and supply closets. Follow all company cleanliness and safety procedures. Laundry Operations Wash, dry, fold, sort, and organize linens, towels, bedding, and other laundry items. Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear. Maintain laundry room cleanliness and organization. Monitor inventory of linens and laundry supplies. Assist with distributing clean linens to properties as needed. Team Support Assist housekeeping teams at multiple properties when required. Support special cleaning projects and deep-cleaning assignments. Help prepare properties for guest arrivals and turnovers. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently. Willingness to work at different properties and locations as needed. Ability to communicate basic English with supervisors and team members. Preferred Previous housekeeping, hotel, cleaning, laundry, or hospitality experience. Experience using commercial cleaning equipment or laundry machines. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
