Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and colleagues. Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by executing routine cleaning tasks efficiently. Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment to execute floor care tasks like mopping, polishing, and deep cleaning carpets or tiles. Manage heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety during unforeseen incidents or hazards. Document sanitation activities accurately and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly to management. Experience Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services within a hospitality environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated skills in floor cleaning, vacuuming, and general cleaning techniques using various cleaning equipment. Familiarity with chemical handling practices and safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure safe use of cleaning agents. Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping management procedures and standards for sanitation and safety compliance. Previous experience with industrial or commercial cleaning tasks that require custodial expertise and attention to detail. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking.
