Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper to join our team and ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents or guests. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across residential or hospitality spaces. Your attention to detail, proactive attitude, and customer service skills will help create a positive experience for everyone who enters the space. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained environment while developing your skills in cleaning, hospitality, and management. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items efficiently. Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and performing carpet cleaning as needed to ensure pristine surfaces. Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to health standards, including countertops, fixtures, and appliances. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to residents' or guests' requests for additional cleaning or special services. Manage custodial tasks such as waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleaning equipment in good working order. Assist with housekeeping management duties when required, including scheduling and coordinating cleaning activities across multiple spaces. Experience Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning is highly preferred. Knowledge of janitorial practices and sanitation standards is essential for maintaining a safe environment. Experience with hotel housekeeping or custodial work will be considered an asset. Familiarity with floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and floor polishing is advantageous. Hands-on experience with laundry operations and stain removal techniques is beneficial. Previous roles involving housekeeping management or supervisory responsibilities are a plus but not required.
