Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical handling. Maintain high standards of floor care through sweeping, mopping, and specialized floor cleaning techniques to ensure spotless surfaces in all areas. Use janitorial equipment safely and effectively to perform industrial cleaning tasks in public spaces and back-of-house areas. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff. Manage custodial supplies inventory, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment of cleaning materials. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services. Qualifications Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial work is preferred; familiarity with hospitality industry standards is a plus. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical agent handling is essential. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of linens or cleaning equipment safely. Strong understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) for chemicals used in cleaning processes. Experience with vacuuming, industrial cleaning tools, and custodial equipment is desirable. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
