Overview We are seeking a motivated Tool Room Attendant with a valid CDL A license to join our dynamic team. This role combines technical proficiency in tools and materials management with the ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles, supporting our manufacturing and logistics operations. Duties Manage tool inventory, ensuring proper storage, maintenance, and availability for production needs Operate CDL A licensed vehicles for transporting materials, tools, and equipment between job sites and storage facilities Conduct routine inspections of tools, machinery, and transportation assets to ensure safety and compliance Assist in procurement activities by sourcing materials and negotiating with suppliers to optimize costs Support warehouse operations by coordinating shipping & receiving activities, including materials handling and order fulfillment Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400, and data analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau for inventory control and process improvement Perform root cause analysis on operational issues to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime Requirements Valid CDL A license with clean driving record and experience operating commercial vehicles Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or logistics environments Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (e.g., AS400), and data analysis software (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials efficiently Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and procurement processes Familiarity with supply chain management concepts including demand planning, sourcing, category management, and logistics inventory management Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and negotiation with suppliers or vendors Technical proficiency in materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred but not mandatory Join us at Steelial Construction & Metal Fabrication where your skills will drive operational excellence!
