Position Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests at the Comfort Inn & Suites. This position plays a key role in maintaining guest satisfaction and hotel cleanliness standard Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Room Cleaning Clean and sanitize guest rooms according to hotel Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and brand standards. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities. Dust, vacuum, mop, and clean all assigned areas thoroughly. Clean bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and furniture. Ensure rooms are properly stocked with guest supplies and amenities. Report any damaged items or maintenance issues immediately. Public Area Maintenance Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobby areas, stairwells, elevators, and other public spaces as assigned. Remove trash and replace liners in guest rooms and public areas. Keep housekeeping carts organized and properly stocked. Guest Service Respond politely and professionally to guest requests and questions. Provide excellent customer service while respecting guest privacy and confidentiality. Report lost and found items according to hotel procedures. Safety & Compliance Follow hotel safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions. Report safety hazards, suspicious activity, or accidents immediately. Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards. Teamwork & Productivity Complete assigned rooms and tasks within established timeframes (minutes per room). Communicate effectively with Housekeeping Supervisors, Front Desk, and Maintenance staff. Assist with laundry or additional housekeeping or other duties when needed or as required by management. Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by Leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly. Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull as needed. Preferred Skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Attention to cleanliness and detail. Bilingual skills are a plus.
