Job Description
Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the Quapaw Casino gaming floor, offices, public restrooms, food and beverage areas, and general perimeter. DUTIES And Responsibilities- Responsible for dusting and wiping down furniture and equipment.
- Sweeps, scrubs, polishes floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaners and carpet shampooer.
- Responsible for polishing metalwork such as fixtures and fittings, and washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
- Must transport trash and waste to disposal area.
- Must observe safety and security procedures; follows basic safety precautions.
- Greets every customer that he/she encounters in the facility with a smile and an enthusiastic attitude.
- Maintains a professional work environment with Managers and staff.
- Meets attendance guidelines of the job, adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Attend all necessary training meetings and assist in other projects as directed.
- Performs other clerical duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.- Must be a minimum of 18years of age upon employment.
- High school diploma or its equivalent required.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with others.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the QNGA.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working; constant pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping and climbing.
- Frequent exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt and chemicals associated with cleaning agents, dust, and fumes; may be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
