Housekeeper

Driftwood Shores Resort is an ocean front property hiring Housekeepers for the Housekeeping Dept. Position offers competitive wages and paid sick time after 90 days. Must be available to work weekends and holidays _____________________________________________________________________________

SUMMARY :

Performs all behind the scenes cleaning to ensure rooms are clean and prepared for guests upon their arrival and during their stay.

Reports to:

Head Housekeeper

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be reliable
• Must be self- starter. Ability to work on own.
• Must be flexible
• Ability to multi- task a plus
• Must be able to organize time effectively
• Must be able to work extended hours
• Maintains a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
• Able to stand, lift, walk and climb stairs for extended periods of time.
• Display a professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to work with managers, guests and peers in a respectful/tactful manner
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

DUTIES and

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Remove dirty linens, garbage, roll-a-ways and/or cribs
• Wash guest room windows inside and out plus balcony panels
• Wash windows in public areas to include: hotel lobby, pool area, executive offices and restaurant/lounge daily.
• Sweep and mop lobby, main elevator landings and elevators, housekeeping break room
• Empty trash at front desk, housekeeping and pool area
• Sanitize public bathroom areas, lobby, pool area and executive building
• Remove pool towels
• Clean public laundry rooms
• Remove dirty linen and trash from housekeeping carts
• Sweep exterior walkways and studio room walkways
• Assist housekeepers when needed
• Report maintenance issues to head housekeeper for processing
• Perform other projects as requested by manager.

Pay:

From $16.50 per hour
