Job Summary The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, order, and overall presentation of guest suites and public areas at a Staybridge Suites hotel operating under IHG Hotels & Resorts brand standards . This role is essential in delivering a high-quality, residential-style extended-stay experience. Staybridge Suites is an upscale extended-stay brand, and this position plays a direct role in ensuring guests experience a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained "home away from home." The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards in a hospitality environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Room & Suite Cleaning Clean and service guest suites in accordance with Staybridge Suites and IHG brand cleanliness standards . Change linens, make beds, and ensure rooms are fully stocked and guest-ready. Clean bathrooms including sinks, toilets, showers, and fixtures to brand standards. Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas. Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately. Extended Stay Guest Experience Provide consistent, respectful service to long-stay guests who consider the hotel their temporary home. Maintain awareness of guest privacy, belongings, and comfort in all interactions. Respond professionally to guest requests and housekeeping needs. Public Area Cleanliness Maintain cleanliness of all public spaces including lobby, hallways, elevators, fitness center, laundry room, breakfast area, and social spaces. Ensure all public areas reflect an upscale, residential-style appearance consistent with Staybridge Suites brand expectations . Perform routine cleaning throughout the day to maintain presentation standards. Laundry Operations Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and towels according to hotel procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry area. Ensure proper handling of chemicals and equipment per safety guidelines. Quality Standards & Compliance Follow all IHG Hotels & Resorts and Staybridge Suites housekeeping standards and procedures . Ensure rooms and public areas consistently meet inspection standards. Follow proper chemical usage, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines. Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards and hotel policies. Teamwork & Communication Communicate effectively with housekeeping leadership, front desk, and maintenance teams. Report room status, maintenance issues, and lost-and-found items promptly. Support team members to ensure efficient room turnaround and operational flow.
Requirements:
Qualifications Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness standards Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong reliability and attendance record Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout entire shift Flexible availability including weekends and holidays Work Environment This position works in a hospitality environment with daily interaction in guest suites, hallways, and public areas. The role requires physical activity and consistent attention to cleanliness standards in an upscale extended-stay hotel setting.
