Housekeeping Duties for
Resident Rooms:
o Follow all company policies. o Work in a manner that promotes safety for self, co-workers, and residents. o Clean sink and counter with all-purpose cleaner. Wipe under each article on counter and replace in same location. o Clean mirror with Windex and polish taps and faucets. o Wipe cupboard doors and drawer fronts of finger marks, water stains etc. o Check for excess food stored in cupboards, refrigerator or bedside and dispose if spoiled. o Clean refrigerator in resident rooms. o Check and re-supply paper towel holder. o Check soap supply at the sink. o Wipe windowsill and dust furniture. o Wash inside windows. o Vacuum heat vent and check ceiling for cobwebs and spiders. o Dust lampshades and light fixtures. o Vacuum upholstered chairs. o Clean toilet & commodes inside and out. o Clean shower, rinse and wipe dry. o Clean floors and wipe dry. o Check toilet paper supply; do not leave more than one extra roll. o Empty garbage containers. o Vacuum. o Remove stains from doors, walls and woodwork, dust or vacuum baseboard. o Replace any light bulbs (we provide for ceiling and wired fixtures; resident provides for all other lamps). o Report any necessary repairs needed. General Position Requirements:
o Regular & consistent attendance in accordance with company policies of shift call-outs/late start. o Follow Individual Resident Care Plans and Temporary Service Plans (TSP's). o Observes and reports any maintenance or safety concerns in residents units or common areas. o Received all certifications and trainings required by State and Federal guidelines, which include but are not limited to: Pre-Service Dementia Training (if applicable), Home and Community-Based Services and Settings, Providing Inclusive Care, Oregon Food Handlers Card, Bloodborne Pathogen and Infection Prevention & Control. Additionally, any facility specific trainings. o Demonstrates understanding of and continued adherence to learned trainings. o Maintains all required certificates necessary for the position along with yearly continuing education. o Shows understanding of resident rights and importance of reporting violations and/or any type of elder abuse. o Maintain professional appearance both with self and office. o This list may not be all inclusive and is subject to change to meet business and resident demands. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Must communicate effectively and respectfully with staff, residents, their family/guests, and management.
