Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Laundry Worker to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment. Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels while adhering to proper chemical handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other designated spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors using appropriate cleaning equipment. Manage the safe handling and usage of chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment; operate janitorial equipment safely and effectively. Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary; report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests professionally and courteously while maintaining confidentiality and discretion. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial/industrial cleaning roles with a strong background in hotel housekeeping experience preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, and floor maintenance. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when moving furniture or large laundry loads; manual handling skills are essential. Familiarity with sanitation standards and janitorial practices; experience with chemical agent handling and use of cleaning equipment is highly desirable. Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols; ability to read safety data sheets (SDS). Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
