Hospital Environmental Service Technician - Night Shift Job Description Join our dedicated team as a Hospital Environmental Service Technician responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role focuses on cleaning hospital rooms, primarily in between patient discharges, ensuring a safe and hygienic space for both patients and staff. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize hospital rooms, especially after patient discharges. Wipe down equipment, empty trash, sweep floors, and dust surfaces. Clean up spills, mop, and sanitize surfaces as needed. Operate and navigate multiple floors, requiring attention to detail. Use hospital-issued iPhones to receive assignments and access cleaning tutorials. Essential Skills Experience with smartphone technology to receive assignments and access tutorials. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods. Experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or janitorial duties. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in healthcare janitorial work is preferred. Candidates with manufacturing or distribution experience willing to transition to healthcare are considered. GED or high school diploma is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. Work Environment This position is for the night shift, from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Friday, with work required every other weekend and holiday. The hospital is a fast-paced #1 trauma center, which may be challenging for some individuals. Patience is required as it may take a few weeks to receive a badge. Candidates must adapt to a dynamic and potentially intense environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danville, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
