Job Description

Summary:
Responsible for providing patients with a clean, safe, and attractive environment. May deliver patient food trays to patient care areas. May transport patients and supplies as needed. Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment needed to meet the needs of the patient in patient care areas. Assists patients, by picking up visitors, and hospital staff as needed. Performs other patient comfort duties necessary to maintain the flow of Patient Care in the center. Cleans and disinfects patient care areas daily and after discharge and transporting supplies from Central Services.
Education:
High School diploma and current Family and Friends CPR are preferred.
Experience:
1-3 months in a hospital setting preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of customer service. Enjoys working with the public. May be required to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English at the fifth grade level based on position. Prefer experience in any of the following areas: Housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, hotel services, food handling, transporting patients and supplies, disinfecting containers, equipment using detergents, and disinfecting solutions.
