Overview We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring an exceptional experience for all visitors. The Hotel Housekeeper plays a vital part in upholding the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene that define our establishment. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle various cleaning tasks in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and recreational spaces to ensure a welcoming environment. Use safety data sheets (SDS) to handle chemical agents correctly and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct heavy lifting when necessary to move furniture or supplies safely, following proper manual handling procedures. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and maintenance. Follow hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or hazards, prioritizing guest safety at all times. Adhere to sanitation standards and protocols for infection control, including industrial cleaning practices when required. Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks such as reporting maintenance issues or replenishing amenities. Engage with guests professionally to address any specific requests or concerns related to cleanliness or comfort. Experience Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly desirable. Proven skills in floor care, vacuuming, and general cleaning techniques across various surfaces. Familiarity with janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning tools. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance. Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or hospitality operations is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude toward guest interactions. Previous exposure to hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards within the hospitality industry.
