  • Housekeeping you are a huge contributor to the "WOW" feeling when a new resident first takes possession of their new home! In addition to applying the finishing touches on empty units for new residents
  • you will be responsible for the hallways, windows, elevators, laundry rooms, and common areas where our residents live.
Your attention to detail and pride in workmanship will set you apart and make you a key contributor to the J&M Property Management team working to improve the communities we serve.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily inspection of our properties, top floor to the bottom. Follow a schedule for providing routine cleaning to rotating properties. Work with Leasing and Maintenance to gain access to empty units as soon as they are ready for the final clean. Utilize the Housekeeping checklist and provide documentation to support all work done before a unit is ready for new tenants. Perform custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, etc., in common areas, offices, restrooms, and vacant units. Pick up trash in common areas of the buildings and on the grounds of the property as needed. Observes safety issues, neglect, or necessary repairs and report back to Management.
ADDITIONAL TASKS
May be asked to escort Pest Control through properties and into occupied units. Perform all other duties assigned and those that may be necessary to achieve company goals.
HARD SKILLS
At least 1 year of janitorial or housekeeping experience Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets Integrity and ability to work independently
SOFT SKILLS
Exemplary time management skills. Ability to work independently with Honesty & Integrity. Willingness to learn and assist above and beyond as part of "the team".
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to push, pull and lift 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds or more occasionally. Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop. Ability to reach above and below the shoulders. Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and pull. Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground. Ability to walk long distances and climb stairs repeatedly. Withstand external weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee may encounter unsanitary conditions in unoccupied or occupied homes of residents and have contact with rodents and/or insects. The position has the potential to encounter human waste (plunging toilets) and noxious fumes (natural gas).
