Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms to ensure a spotless environment. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Handle various cleaning agents safely in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure safety for yourself and others. Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools with precision and care. Execute heavy lifting tasks when necessary to move furniture or equipment safely while adhering to manual handling safety protocols. Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols and emergency procedures to respond effectively during incidents or safety concerns. Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in hotel or hospitality settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in floor cleaning techniques including carpet care, tile maintenance, and industrial floor care. Knowledge of chemical agents used in sanitation and familiarity with chemical handling safety practices. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Understanding of hotel housekeeping management systems and adherence to hotel emergency procedures is advantageous. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
