Kirkland Court Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to join our team and help maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, and staff.
Responsibilities:
Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other facility areas according to established schedules and infection control standards. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas. Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident and facility laundry. Label and organize resident clothing as needed. Maintain adequate supplies in housekeeping and laundry areas. Follow proper handling procedures for soiled linens and biohazard materials. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and damaged equipment to supervisors. Assist in maintaining compliance with state, federal, and facility cleanliness standards. Provide courteous and professional service to residents, families, and coworkers.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping or laundry experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred, but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to safely operate housekeeping and laundry equipment. Must be dependable, punctual, and resident-focused.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
