Position Summary for the Housekeeper Role The Housekeeper plays a vital role in supporting residents' health and well-being by cleaning and maintaining the highest standards. This position ensures residents feel safe, respected, and cared for in alignment with Parsons House's mission and values. Shifts Available Days, 7am - 3pm , five days per week Full Time (up to 40 hours/week) & Part Time (up to 29 hours/week), scheduled hours and days are not set and may vary depending upon the needs of the community. Responsibilities for the Housekeeper Role Perform cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, and facilities to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Use proper cleaning techniques and equipment to ensure effective results. Perform laundry duties as needed. Follow safety protocols and use cleaning supplies responsibly. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Support team members in maintaining a hygienic environment. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety. Qualifications for the Housekeeper Role Proven janitorial or custodial experience preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
