Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning duties, including floor cleaning, vacuuming, and general sanitation of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture, supplies, or equipment to support housekeeping operations. Maintain cleanliness standards by using industrial cleaning techniques and custodial experience to ensure all areas are spotless and hygienic. Support hotel housekeeping management by preparing rooms for new guests, restocking supplies, and ensuring all areas meet sanitation regulations. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to respond effectively to safety incidents or hazards. Use janitorial equipment efficiently and perform routine inspections to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the property. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles with a focus on industrial cleaning and sanitation. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, including floor cleaning and maintenance using appropriate equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to health and safety protocols, including understanding SDS guidelines. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking during shifts. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety at all times. Experience with hotel housekeeping operations or janitorial experience that demonstrates reliability and attention to detail.
