Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across various areas, including patient rooms, public spaces, and staff areas, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized according to health standards. Manage laundry operations by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms efficiently. Conduct routine sanitation checks to uphold OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Utilize proper cleaning techniques for different surfaces, including floor care procedures such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and equipment maintenance to support environmental services documentation. Follow established protocols for infection control and environmental hygiene to promote a safe environment for staff and visitors. Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as needed to support hospital or healthcare facility requirements. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or commercial settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and sanitation practices. Experience with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet cleaning is advantageous. Knowledge of environmental services protocols within hospital or healthcare environments is a plus. Demonstrated ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
