Job Description

Summary :
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the Driftwood campus and ensuring we are meeting health, safety standards, and legal requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clean rooms, hallways, common areas, offices, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
  • Empty wastebaskets, ashtrays containers, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
  • Remove debris from driveways, grounds, and swimming pool areas.
  • Replenish supplies such as linens, and bathroom items.
  • Sort, count, and mark clean linens, and store them in the linen closet.
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, baseboards, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
  • Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.
  • Observe precautions required to protect property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Prepare rooms for meetings, and arrange decorations, media equipment, and furniture for social or business functions.
  • Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using a wheeled cart.
  • Expands knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.

Preferred Education/Experience:
  • Relevant working experience preferred
  • Current TB Test
Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven working experience as a housekeeper or relevant position.
  • Well-versed in housekeeping best practices.
  • Highly reliable who is able to perform all tasks without supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
