Position range in Maverick County $9.89 - $15.17 Per hour Housekeeper
PM - 3:00 PM, 11:00 PM or 7:00 AM, 8-hour shifts. Days may vary based on business needs. Employer will offer at least 40 hours per week. Job opportunity is temporary, full-time position. The requested temporary workers will be based at 3386 East Main Street, Eagle Pass, TX 78852 including the county of Maverick. Employer will provide transportation to and from worksite. Single work week will be used to compute wages due. Pay period is semi-monthly. Employer will make all deductions from workers paycheck required by law. Housing will not be provided by employer. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers reasonable costs for return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first week of work for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker (but not including passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training on the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees, as required by law, to offer work for the hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. 575 937-3411, is looking to fill 15 Housekeeper positions from October 1, 2026, to January 15, 2027. This is for temporary, full-time peak-load employment.Duties include:
Under the supervision of the general manager, housekeepers will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure guest rooms and common areas meet established lodging health and sanitation standards. Duties include keeping storage areas and housekeeping carts well-stocked, clean, and organized; carrying linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts; and cleaning guestrooms, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms using brooms, mops, dusters, microfiber cloths, disinfectant solutions, vacuum cleaners, and powered floor scrubbers. Workers will empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas; sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors; clean and shampoo rugs and carpets; wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork; dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment; and replace light bulbs. Laundry-related tasks include sorting, loading, and unloading linens and towels using commercial washers and dryers; folding and organizing clean laundry; and stocking linen closets. Workers will make beds, move and arrange lightweight furniture, turn mattresses, and hang draperies or clean window blinds. Workers may deliver guest-requested items such as rollaway beds, baby cribs, televisions, or ironing boards; report room damage or lost-and-found items; and assist with basic preparation of rooms or common areas for meetings or events. Workers must follow company safety and sanitation procedures and perform other related housekeeping duties as assigned.Requirements:
No education is required. However, 1 month of experience as housekeeper or similar position is required.Required special skills/certifications:
Housekeeper must be able to lift up to 65 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, bend, stretch, twist, and reach with the body, arms, and legs as needed. Workers will be paid no less than $14.09 per hour based on experience. Overtime is available as needed and will be paid at $21.14 per hour. Work will be performed Monday through Sunday from 7:00 AM, 3:00 PM, or 11:PM - 3:00 PM, 11:00 PM or 7:00 AM, 8-hour shifts. Days may vary based on business needs.
