Hotel Housekeeper

Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and replenishing supplies to ensure a fresh environment. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting. Perform floor care tasks including stripping, waxing, polishing, and buffing to keep all flooring surfaces looking their best. Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels efficiently. Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold safety standards. Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. Assist with inventory management by stocking cleaning supplies and equipment in designated storage areas. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or housekeeping within hotels or similar hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, polishing, and carpet cleaning. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and steam cleaners safely and effectively. Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and procedures related to custodial services. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
