Description Floor Houseperson Position Summary The Floor Houseperson plays a key support role within the Housekeeping team by ensuring Guest Room Attendants are fully supplied and assisted throughout the day. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, organized, and wellstocked hallways, guest floors, and service areas, while also assisting with laundry and housekeeping duties as needed to support overall resort operations. Essential Job Functions Floor & Public Area Support Maintain cleanliness of guest hallway entrances and elevator areas through regular vacuuming and upkeep
Clean, sweep, and mop stair landings and hallway floors
Dust hallway credenzas and ensure newspapers are neatly stocked
Clean and maintain vending areas
Pick up trash and soiled linens from halls and dispose of them properly
Strip spoiled or soiled linens from guest rooms after checkout when needed Housekeeping & Laundry Support Keep store rooms clean, organized, and well stocked
Ensure guest room glassware and coffee mugs are washed and stocked in housekeeping closets
Assist with laundry services as needed
Notify supervisors of supply shortages or inventory needs
Check vacuum cleaners twice weekly and replace bags as needed
Perform housekeeping duties as needed to support daily operations Professional Standards & Expectations Follow all Horseshoe Bay Resort policies, procedures, and safety standards
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and proper uniform at all times
Demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
Be flexible and willing to assist in other areas based on operational needs
Maintain slipresistant, closedtoe and heel footwear at all times Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Available to work weekends and holidays
Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies
Selfmotivated with strong attention to detail
Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry housekeeping supplies and equipment

Education
High School (required)
Experience
Experience working independently while supporting a team in a physically active role, managing multiple tasks, following safety standards, and adapting to changing priorities in hospitality or service settings. (required)
Handson experience using commercial cleaning equipment (vacuums, mops, carts), maintaining cleanliness standards, managing linens, and ensuring public and service areas remain organized and presentable. (required)
Experience assisting housekeeping teams with daily operations, including maintaining clean guest hallways, public areas, supply rooms, and supporting Guest Room Attendants as needed. (required)
