Job Summary A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, order, and a welcoming environment in guest rooms and public areas. They ensure that all spaces meet the hotels cleanliness and safety standards to provide a comfortable stay for guests. Key Responsibilities Clean and service assigned guest rooms (make beds, change linens, dust, vacuum, sanitize bathrooms) Restock room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and amenities Clean public areas including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management Follow proper handling of lost and found items Ensure compliance with health and safety standards Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in an organized manner Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required) Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good time management and organizational skills Physical stamina (standing, bending, lifting, and walking for long periods) Basic communication skills Working Conditions Fast-paced environment with physical demands Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays Exposure to cleaning chemicals (with proper safety procedures) Salary (Typical Range) Approx. $13 - $15 per hour depending on experience
