As a Housekeeper, you'll play an essential role in keeping our Center sanitary, orderly, and inviting. You'll be part of a team that takes pride in doing the right thing, providing quality care, and creating a culture where people work hard, support one another, and have fun along the way. What You'll Do Clean and maintain assigned areas through washing, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting. Keep restrooms clean, sanitary, and well maintained. Empty trash containers and maintain clean, orderly spaces. Clean interior and exterior windows. Use cleaning supplies and chemicals safely and according to directions. Stock supply rooms and help ensure adequate supplies are available. Arrange tables and chairs and assist with meeting and event preparation. Report unsafe conditions or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Unclog minor sink and toilet stoppages as needed. Respond to changing workload needs while staying productive and on task. Follow all safety precautions and proper lifting practices. Attend department meetings and required in-services. Help train new employees as needed. Some formal educational training is required; on-the-job training is provided. Must be able to read and follow safety instructions and cleaning-solution mixing formulas. Must be honest, dependable, and reliable. Basic knowledge of housekeeping methods, materials, and equipment is preferred. Ability to understand oral and written instructions and learn new tasks quickly. Ability to perform tasks on a ladder. Ability to lift and handle items as required for the position; the job description notes lifting requirements of up to 75 pounds waist-high and 45 pounds in another essential-function statement. Must have the endurance to perform housekeeping duties for extended periods. Must follow safety precautions and WTRC policies.
