Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies as needed. Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to ensure spotless flooring throughout the facility. Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure safe work practices at all times. Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional cleaning or maintenance attention. Adhere to environmental services protocols to promote eco-friendly cleaning practices and waste reduction. Collaborate with team members to complete custodial tasks efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment. Requirements Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial cleaning or healthcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation procedures. Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning. Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Prior experience in hospital or environmental services is a plus but not mandatory.
