Responsibilities Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to maintain pristine surfaces. Handle cleaning tasks across various hotel areas, including guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and public restrooms, ensuring high standards of sanitation. Safely handle chemical agents by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper procedures to prevent accidents and ensure effective cleaning. Conduct manual handling of heavy items such as furniture or cleaning supplies with proper techniques to prevent injury. Operate cleaning equipment efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and industrial cleaning tools. Support hotel housekeeping management by assisting with inventory control of cleaning supplies and maintaining cleanliness logs. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times. Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing guest requests professionally and courteously. Adhere to sanitation standards and health regulations to promote a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or industrial setting is preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices is advantageous. Experience with chemical handling, sanitation procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures readiness in critical situations. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently supports operational needs.
