Job Description

Guest Room Cleaning Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to established hotel standards and procedures. Make beds and replace bed linens and towels as required. Dust, wipe, and clean all surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and high-touch areas. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, tubs, sinks, mirrors, and floors. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as appropriate. Clean kitchen areas, including countertops, sinks, appliances, cabinets, and dining areas in accordance with extended-stay standards. Replenish guest room amenities, supplies, and housekeeping items. Empty trash and replace liners. Report maintenance issues, damages, lost-and-found items, and safety concerns promptly. Follow proper procedures for cleaning stayover rooms, checkout rooms, vacant rooms, and deep-cleaning assignments. Maintain appropriate cleaning times while ensuring that quality standards are not sacrificed for speed. Complete assigned rooms and tasks within the scheduled work period, allowing approximately 30 minutes per room.
GUEST SERVICE EXPECTATIONS
Maintain a friendly, professional, and respectful attitude toward guests and fellow employees. Greet guests courteously and assist with basic requests when appropriate. Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times. Never enter an occupied guest room without following proper hotel procedures. Immediately report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or unusual circumstances to management. Respect guest belongings and never remove or handle personal items unnecessarily. Follow all hotel policies regarding lost and found property.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
The Housekeeping Attendant is expected to: Consistently meet established hotel cleanliness and quality standards. Complete assigned rooms and duties within expected productivity guidelines. Demonstrate attention to detail and thoroughness. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality. Follow the daily assignment provided by the Housekeeping Manager or supervisor. Properly clock in and out according to hotel policy. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Notify management promptly when unable to complete assigned work or when additional time is needed. Maintain a positive and professional attitude. Accept coaching and feedback and make improvements when necessary. Work cooperatively with other departments to support overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and stretch frequently. Push and pull housekeeping carts and equipment. Lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies, linen, and other materials. Perform repetitive cleaning motions for extended periods. Safely perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
