Job Summary:
The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and maintaining public areas of the hotel, assisting room attendants with the general cleaning of guest rooms. This includes vacuuming, shampooing of carpets; cleaning/waxing of floors; trash removal; stocking and maintaining supply rooms and other cleaning duties.Job Specifications:

style="list-style-type:disc- -Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty ash urns, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Clean public areas
- hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Remove dirty linen, terry and trash from the service areas and take it to the appropriate locations. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Assist sectional housekeepers as needed (i.e. moving furniture, rollways, etc.) style="list-style-type:disc
- -Reporting missing or damaged articles and submitting all found items to Housekeeping office according to Lost and Found procedures. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Ensure that all the hallways are clear of trash and used room service trays have been taken to the Stewarding department. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Reports the need for floor cleaning/polishing and carpet shampoo; coordinates and uses equipment to conduct cleaning procedures. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Arrange the newspapers and magazines in the lobby; clearing tables of used materials and/or trash. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Report any maintenance issues in a timely manner to ensure all items are logged with the PBX center. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Transport baby cribs and rollaway beds to the guest rooms. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Participation in training classes set up by The Arrabelle, Rock Resort and Vail Resorts. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Complies with all Resort policies, procedures and standards of operation. style="list-style-type:disc
- -Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

- Preferred style="list-style-type:disc
- -2•3 years of housekeeping experience or equivalent.
- Preferred style="list-style-type:disc
- -Previous experience housekeeping in hotels or condos.
- Preferred style="list-style-type:disc
- -Must be able to communicate in efficiently in English.

- -Ability to communicate in Spanish.

- -Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

- -Must be able to stand for long periods of time in excess of 2 hours without sitting.
