Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Housekeeper position is to maintain cleanliness and organization in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests. Housekeepers are responsible for delivering high-quality service standards and contributing to the overall guest experience by upholding the hotel's reputation for cleanliness and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to established standards and procedures. Change and replenish bed linens, towels, and amenities in guest rooms. Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report any findings to the maintenance department. Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored correctly. Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, providing friendly and efficient service. Collaborate with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction. Adhere to health and safety regulations and hotel policies at all times. Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to housekeeping duties.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required Experience:

Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred Experience working in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous

Required Skills and Abilities:

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills to interact with guests and staff professionally Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment usage Basic understanding of safety and sanitation standards in housekeeping
