About Us Setu Vermont is a small, healing-centered Ayurveda and meditation retreat center nestled in the woods of West Brattleboro. We welcome guests for immersive retreats, Panchakarma treatments, and wellness stays. We're looking for one person to join our core team in a dual-role position: housekeeping and guest-facing breakfast hospitality. This is an ideal fit for someone who enjoys grounded, independent work and also likes connecting with people. No Ayurvedic cooking experience is required — we'll train you. What You'll Do Weekday Housekeeping (1-2 days per week): Clean and turn over guest rooms and cabins: dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, making beds, restocking linens and toiletries Light laundry responsibilities Clean and dust common spaces to keep the retreat center welcoming and safe General upkeep and supply inventory tracking High standards for cleanliness Weekend Breakfast & Guest Hospitality (1-2 mornings per week, 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM): Greet guests warmly at breakfast and throughout the morning Prepare and serve vegetarian breakfast from a provided menu (we teach our approach — no prior experience needed, just having experience cooking in your home kitchen is ok) Set up and clean up the dining area Offer warm, attentive hospitality that helps guests feel at ease during their retreat Schedule & Hours Part-time, averaging 12-20 hours per week over the year, with some slower weeks and some busier retreat weeks. Weekday housekeeping shifts are typically one to two days per week, usually 8 hours per shift Weekend breakfast/guest-facing shifts are usually one or two mornings, 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM (about 6 hours per shift), scheduled when retreats are in session We have planned closure periods during the year when there is typically no work; these are communicated well in advance so you can plan Some weeks may be as low as around 8 hours; others, during active retreat weeks, can range into the high twenties. We communicate schedules in advance so you can plan, and we're looking for someone who appreciates the ebb and flow of retreat center life. Pay $18-22/hour, based on experience. We offer rate increases over time for long-term team members who grow into expanded responsibilities.
