Overview Join Our Team and Make a Difference Every Day Mira Vista Care Center is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and compassionate Laundry Attendant / Housekeeper to join our team in Mount Vernon, Washington. This important role helps ensure our residents enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment every day. Position Summary The Laundry Attendant / Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas while ensuring resident laundry and facility linens are processed accurately and efficiently. This position plays a vital role in supporting the comfort, dignity, and well-being of our residents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Housekeeping Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to established procedures. Empty trash and replenish supplies as needed. Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Report maintenance and safety concerns promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Laundry Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens. Ensure resident personal items are handled carefully and returned correctly. Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized laundry area. Monitor linen inventory and report supply needs as necessary. Follow proper handling procedures for soiled linens and personal belongings. Qualifications Previous housekeeping, laundry, or healthcare experience preferred, but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Positive attitude and professional demeanor. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to spend extended periods standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
